JEFF PHELPS
Senior Pastor
After serving as Crossroad's Associate Pastor of Student Ministries for 4 years, Jeff was called as Senior Pastor in June, 2016. He received training at Liberty University Baptist Theological Seminary, Lynchburg, VA., and previously served with Campus Crusade for Christ and as Student Ministries Director at Westwood Church, St. Cloud, MN. Jeff is passionate about seeing people find joy, fulfillment, purpose and life in God. Jeff and his wife, Jessica, have four children: Brennan, Tenley, Macie, and Ronan.
TIM REED
Pastor of Discipleship
Tim has been a part of the staff at Crossroads Church since 2020. Originally from Albert Lea, MN. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Waldorf University in Forest City, IA in 2001 and carried on his education to getting a Master’s of Business Administration from University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in Whitewater, WI in 2003. Tim is currently in his second year of seminary at Liberty University out of Lynchburg, Virginia and is scheduled to graduate in December 2022 with a Master’s of Arts in Christian Ministry. By way of the Potter’s hands, God has molded Tim through life experience and tribulation to give him an empathetic desire to help people grow in their walk with Jesus and to encourage them to live out that faith in every aspect of life. Tim and his wife Emily have attended Crossroads Church since 2006 and have four kids, Owen, Griffin, Ruby, and Eddie.
JON DIERENFELD
Interim Pastor
Jon joined the Crossroads staff at the beginning of 2023. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Christian Education from the University of Northwestern in 2001. He has served at Youth For Christ, Hy-Vee and a couple local churches in the areas of children, youth and family ministry. Jon loves to meet people, get to know their story and cheer them on towards Christ-likeness. He and his wife Amanda have two children, Jacob and Susie.
SHANNA DAWSON
Worship Director
Shanna began serving as interim worship director in August 2014, and joined the staff in June 2015. She and her husband Jared have four children- Drake, Grace, Evie, and Alec- all of whom grew up serving at Crossroads and are now active in worship ministries here and at college. She received her training from Crown College and has a desire to see worship at Crossroads be a community of worshippers who glorify God through personal devotion, authentic worship, and a desire for excellence.
TYLER VANDENHEUVEL
Director of Family Worship and Technology
Tyler began serving as the Director of Family Ministry Worship and Technology in January, 2021. He attended Crossroads throughout his childhood years. He says, "This is where I gave my heart to Jesus and discovered my love for worship through music." Tyler is passionate about people understanding what it means to Worship God, and experiencing freedom in it. He currently lives in Albert Lea with his wife and High School sweetheart, Kylie, son, Judah, and goldendoodle, Maxee.
HAYLEY FARRIS
Director of Leadership Development | Missions
Hayley has been a part of Crossroads Church since 2008, serving in many volunteer roles before joining the staff team in 2018 as the Early Childhood Ministry Coordinator. In 2022, she transitioned to the dual role of Director of Leadership Development and Director of Missions. She provides leadership support to the ministry teams by equipping and encouraging staff and volunteers to identify and develop Christ-centered leaders, multiply leaders in each ministry, and increase the impact and influence of Crossroads Church for the glory of God. As Director of Missions, with the support of a volunteer team, she identifies, develops, and maintains connections with our local and global mission/outreach partnerships. Hayley lives with her husband, Nick, and her four children, Laiken, Eddie, Faith, and Maren, on a hobby farm just north of Albert Lea.
JOSIAH KLIMENT
Interim High School Director
Josiah began working at Crossroads In October of 2022 as the interim high school director. Crossroads is the church he grew up in. It’s where he accepted Christ and was baptized. “Youth ministry has always been a desire of mine, so I am incredibly thankful for the opportunities I’ve received at Crossroads.” Josiah is passionate about seeing lives changes through Jesus and can’t wait for what is to come.
MOLLEE TSCHOLL
Middle School Director
Mollee began serving as the Middle School Director at the beginning of 2022. She and her family have been attending Crossroads since 2019. Mollee has been closely involved with Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) in Albert Lea since 2016, and and is currently serving as the FCA coordinator there. She is passionate about sharing Jesus with young people; walking alongside them, encouraging them, instructing them, and praying for them as they pursue a lifelong relationship with the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Mollee lives in Albert Lea with her husband Joe, and their three boys- Andrew, Seth, and Zack.
SUSAN KLIMENT
Elementary Director | Discipleship Ministry Assistant
Susan and her family have been coming to Crossroads since 2005 when she and her husband began volunteering in children’s ministry. For 6 years she served as the Director of Children’s ministry and then stepped down to be mom. In March of 2017, she stepped back in as the Elementary Coordinator and loves to be back working with the kids and volunteers! Susan is passionate about passing faith and a love for Jesus to the next generation and has been doing so in camping ministry, youth ministry and now children’s ministry for a long time now! She loves being wife to Darrin, mom to Caleb, Samuel and Josiah, and raising their family in the country in rural Northwood, IA.
Heather began serving as the Early Childhood Director in 2022. She has been a part of Crossroads Church since May of 2017 and has volunteered in many ministry areas, including MOPS, small groups, women's ministry, and Promiseland. She loves to encourage and disciple others and is excited to help the children and families of Crossroads build a strong foundation on Christ. She lives on an acreage with her husband, Jay, sons, Caleb and Joel, their dog Rufus and two cats, Dot and Sox.

MARJA STENZEL
Communications Director
Marja began serving as Office Assistant in April 2019 and transitioned to Communications Director in 2022. She and her husband, Jake, have been attending Crossroads since 2010. They live in Albert Lea with their four daughters: Charlotte, Adelynn, Lillian and Eloise.
KIM ANDERSON
Church Administrator
Kim began serving as the Church Administrator for Crossroads in February of 2017. Kim has assisted executives in the workplace for 40+ years, while also serving alongside her pastor-husband in church planting and church ministry. Kim has also led and consulted in women’s ministries in local churches, and in regional and national ministries. She is a mother of two daughters and a grandmother of two active boys and one granddaughter. She and her husband, John, reside in Albert Lea just a few miles from their grandchildren.
SHARON OVERGAARD
Bookkeeper
Sharon is no stranger to the Crossroads staff. She began serving as Church Secretary in 1995 and now serves as Bookkeeper. Sharon and her husband, Stacey, are long time members of Crossroads and love spending time with their 4 adult children: Spencer, Sydney & Preston Smith, and Schafer, and grandson, Briggs, when they can. Sharon loves working with numbers and people.
ASHLEY HAASE
Bookkeeper Assistant | Administrative Assistant
Ashley has been attending Crossroads for 10 plus years. She has enjoyed volunteering in Promiseland the last few years and as of September 2019 is excited to serve as Bookkeeper Assistant to Sharon, she added the role of Administrative Assistant in the fall of 2022. Ashley and her husband, Brett, live in Albert Lea with their three children - Bryn, Ledger, and Gage.

Facilities Director
Justin began serving as Facilities Coordinator at Crossroads in February, 2018. He and his wife, Michelle, have 4 children and 1 granddaughter. Justin is the President of the Albert Lea Chapter of the Christian Motorcycle Association.
TIM RAATZ
Audio | Video | IT | Facilities Assistant
Tim began serving as Audio/Video/IT/Facilities Assistant in November of 2022. Tim have been attending Crossroads Church since 2005. He has volunteered in Fusion in the sound booth doing tech. Tim is married to Holly and they have eight children and one grandson.
